Amusement Park Day

This morning the kids slept in, then we made pancakes for breakfast.

After yesterday's paperwork, we decided to have fun today at an amusement park. We whirled and twirled the afternoon away.

Yes, the kids convinced Dad to take a spin.

Or two...

Mama went for a little boat ride...

Happy kids, and Mom too!

The girls are twins, and best friends

After going through a spin-dry cycle, Dad is having a bad hair day:

Ice cream, and a Halloween monster.

Old fashioned bumper cars. Rocio is in the blue car, Mayra in the purple one (their favorite colors). I have not seen bumper cars in the USA for decades, I'll guess that lawyers were involved?

Rocio slept on the way home after a big day.

iPads brought them back to life.

Then we had dinner at the hotel in our complex, not realizing it is a fancy restaurant. I don't think the girls have ever been in such a place, and all they wanted was french fries and rice. The staff was amazing and delivered the goods immediately!

Tomorrow we have more paperwork, and Paola from FANA will visit in the afternoon to make sure everyone is okay.

From our perspective - we are delighted!

    1. Thanks Jeff! We are enjoying the time with our girls immensely!

I worked at Valleyfair the first summer they were open, around 1976? I was in college and it was fun to work with kids my age. I remember they had bumper cars back then, but have not been there in years. The kids love amusement parks and I have heard that a Valleyfair season pass is not expensive, so we will do that next summer. Also we want to bring them to Disney next year as we know they would love it at their age.

    2. Yeah, they aren't expensive at all. We get them every year since we are only about 10 minutes away and can go for a couple hours at a time. Parking is included, so usually about 2 trips to Valleyfair and it's paid for.

    3. I ordered the "Gold" annual pass to VF yesterday. We only live about 15 minutes away. We had passes many years ago when our daughter Mandy was little.
